Auto-Result Sync

Bracket pools update automatically as real matches finish. You don't have to wait for an admin to enter results — they flow in on their own.

How It Works

Match data updates from our stats provider every 15 minutes. When a fixture goes final, the app:

  1. Posts the result to your bracket pool
  2. Re-scores every entry that picked that match
  3. Updates group standings (and re-scores group picks if standings flipped)
  4. Cascades knockout slots — winners advance into the next round
  5. In World Cup leagues, drops eliminated nations from rosters

You'll typically see results show up within 15 minutes of the final whistle.

Last Synced Indicator

Each pool detail page shows a "Last synced X min ago" stamp near the top. This tells you when the auto-sync last checked for new results. If you're refreshing right after a match, give it a tick — the next sync window will pick it up.

Idempotent and Safe

The auto-sync skips fixtures that already have results recorded — posting the same result twice does nothing. Half-resolved knockout slots (e.g., R16 waiting on its R32 winner) get retried automatically as their dependencies fill in.

Manual Override (Admin Only)

If a result is missing or wrong (rare — usually only on rescheduled or replayed fixtures), a platform admin can post the result manually. This uses the same scoring path as the auto-sync, so leaderboards stay consistent across pools.

Pool creators are not platform admins. If you spot a missing or stuck result, ping support — only platform admins have manual override.

What Triggers a Re-Score

A re-score runs whenever any of the following happens:

  • A new match result comes in (group or knockout)
  • An admin updates a previous result (rare correction case)
  • A pool's standings flip due to a late group result

Re-scoring is batched, so big pools update without lag.
