Trades, Waivers & Free Agents

Transactions work the same whether you're in a league or knockout format — you can always improve your team.

Free Agent Pickup

  • After waivers clear, unclaimed players become free agents
  • Pick one up anytime — immediately added to your roster
  • You must drop a player to make room (roster limit enforced)
  • In WC leagues, nation limits apply — you can't add a 4th player from the same country if your limit is 3

Waiver Claims

  • Recently dropped and high-demand players are on waivers
  • Submit a waiver bid (highest bidder wins) and wait for processing
  • Every team starts the season with a 100-point waiver budget — your winning bid is deducted on claim approval
  • Tie-breaker priority: when two teams bid the same amount, the team with lower waiver order (closer to #1) wins. Initial waiver order is the inverse of draft order — last drafter starts at #1.
  • The tie-breaker winner rotates to the back of the queue. Unique high bids and sole-bidder wins do not consume your priority.
  • If your claim succeeds, the player is added and your drop executes

How Waivers Process

  • Standard leagues: Processing on set days (e.g., Tuesday and Friday at 2pm UTC)
  • World Cup leagues: Event-driven waivers — claims process on a rolling basis as they expire. Look for the countdown timer on the matchups and transactions pages showing when the next batch processes.

Waiver Flow

  1. After the draft, all undrafted players start on waivers
  2. First processing clears them — unclaimed become free agents
  3. When you drop a player, they go on waivers for a window (24-48 hours depending on competition)
  4. After that window, unclaimed players become free agents

Eliminated Players (World Cup)

When a nation is knocked out of the tournament:

  • Players from that nation stay on your roster but stop scoring points
  • They're flagged as "Eliminated" on player cards and roster entries
  • They are not auto-dropped — you keep the roster slot occupied until you decide what to do
  • You can drop them through the regular waiver/free-agent flow if you want to swap in a player from a nation still alive

Trades

  • Propose a trade to any team in your league
  • The other manager has 48 hours to accept, reject, or counter
  • If they don't respond, the proposal expires
  • Nation limits are enforced — a trade that would push you over the limit is blocked
